For the HOMER-ODISEE project at RWTH Aachen's Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design (SLA), I made a 3D animation of LISA (Little Inspection and Servicing Arm), at 3cm across, the smallest space robotic arm in the world.

The animation follows a single example mission. A client satellite, alone in orbit, has developed a fault it can't fix on its own. LISA, folded until now into a few cubic centimetres, deploys, docks onto the satellite, and extends toward the damaged section. It works on the fault, then retracts, and the servicing craft moves on.
